Cambridge Branch Lines

Modelling Cambridgeshire Railways in the 1950s

RW3: Cambridge Lines 1950: Six Mile Bottom to Fulbourne

This short film shows some of the progress on the Newmarket line since my previous films of 2011. A lot of work has been done behind the scenes in research and asset development including the large building - the grain silo - seen at the end of the clip. This film uses RailWorks 3: TS2012, the next version of the simulator, which uses a new graphics engine.

The steam engine here is an LNER V2, pulling a rake of mark 1 coaches. We start at Six Mile Bottom, and shortly arrive at the scene of the old junction with the newmarket and Chesterford Railway's line to Great Chesterford, before travelling through a cutting and on to Fulbourn. Needless to say, both villages need more work!
